Sideline – Twitter search monitor by Yahoo
One of Twitter’s greatest benefits is it’s immediacy. Yahoo created Sideline as an Adobe Air application which will monitor certain keywords live on Twitter and let you know when someone did a specific search. This will allow you to react immediately when someone mentions your name or brand on Twitter.

I agree that if a news article, blog post, or even a Tweet appears mentioning you or your company, you want to be the first to know about it!

Everyone wants to know more information about who is following you on Twitter. Twitter will automatically email you with the alias of your follower. You automatically want to go visit this user’s profile, so you click on the email link that opens a new web browser window.
